Commercials (suggestions for high leverage actionable steps) --think about how to include these practical steps in your action plan:
Include students in ground floor of creating strategic plan—otherwise they'll never be owners.
Discuss the "model" with your staff team.

Recruiting
Principles:
Continue to foster the Connection between student ownership and recruiting in our thinking and practically
We're one movement here in the Northeast—look for ways to lean on one another—

Action Points:
Recruit interns.
Corollary: recruit them to join our staff.—NE avg is 20% join us—other regions have seen 40-60%--how do we keep them?
Recruit for summer projects.
Region: Life Options conference for state schools—we've raised money, RT wants to explore that with LLLs, local teams
Opportunity for regional team to talk with students when we make our visits/speak at weekly meeting/fall retreats

Evangelism
Ongoing question of how do we as staff who are outsiders equip the students who are cultural insiders to be motivated and effective in their relationships and contexts?
Suggestions: Staff do EV
Is there something concrete we can move students toward so that their surface area increases also? Exs. Moving into dorms, significant involvement in other students organizations.

ESM
Our new mystery date
Figure it out together
We have the highest number of international students in the nation (105,000)—Bridges is a valid ESM audience—we'll have a Bridges track at the BWC, for Christian and nonChristian intl students, and for CRU students & staff to get exposure to/training in that kind of ministry.
We're 2nd in the nation in number of Asian-American students
Make sure your plan includes an ESM component.

WSN
Increased freedom in where you pursue WSN involvement—has to show up on plans for fall
Options:
Traditional 5 stage partnership—in Kaz and OEX
Entrepreneurial
Boston-Africa
UConn and Paul C. and Syracuse—Italy
NYC—London
Nationally: Africa is back on the table, summit happening right now
Just want a place to go--Partnership in a box, or Mexico City—can go for any length of time, just put the students on a plane
The last unreached section of North America is Quebec, (esp Quebec City) something for northern New England schools to consider
